We are still seeking parents for a focus to participate in a focus group that will provide feedback on the Individualized Education Account (IEA) Program and we have extended the deadline to Wednesday, Feb. 24.
The IEA Program is designed to serve Tennessee parents and students, and we want to ensure that all the resources, forms, and systems that are being created for the IEA Program are parent-friendly, clear, and comprehensive.
· Focus group meetings will likely be held in downtown Nashville or the Nashville vicinity
· The group will meet in person at least four times, with one meeting per month beginning in March and lasting through June. Participants will not have to attend every focus group meeting.
· Exact dates and times of the meetings are still to be determined and will be based on participant availability.
· Meals will be provided during the meetings for participants, but participants will not receive a stipend or travel reimbursement.
Focus group participants should be Tennessee parents of students with disabilities who are currently in enrolled in a public school in grades K–12.
